Personal information includes any factual or subjective information about an identifiable individual. This includes the person’s name, address, gender, age, insurance, financing or income protection files, ID numbers, client number and social insurance number.
Confidential personal information may not be given out to a third party without the consent of the person concerned. This
consent (French) must be freely given, enlightened and manifest. It must be given for specific purposes and for a limited time.
Within the limits imposed by the Access Act, personal information may be communicated or accessible without the consent of the person concerned when:
