The AgriStability program is based on the principle by which the governments and the participating operation share the costs of stabilizing the annual income of the participating operation's farm business. In general, the program will cover a portion of the difference between the operation's participation year production margin and its reference margin.
Starting in the 2013 participation year, a new Québec program called “Agri-Québec Plus” will offer additional financial assistance to farming operations that participate in the AgriStability program.
