Contribution

The contribution you will have to pay is established according to your number of insured units and the annual contribution rate for your production.

The amount of your contribution will correspond to a third of your total premium, since two thirds is assumed by La Financière agricole.

Starting in the 2010 insurance year, the contribution for large-size operations, i.e. the contribution for the insured volume greater than three times that of the farm type, will correspond to 50% of the total premium, the second 50% being assumed by La Financière agricole. However, the portion of the contribution associated with the accumulated deficit as of March 31, 2010, if any, will remain due based on a ratio of 1/3 for the producer and 2/3 for La Financière agricole.

Your contribution may be deducted from a program payment. If there is no compensation for the year in question, La Financière agricole will send you a contribution notice.

Is it your first enrolment?

When you enrol in ASRA for the first time, you must pay 50% of your contribution before the enrolment deadline for the insured product.

The other 50% of your contribution will be paid from any compensation advance made by La Financière agricole or when the final payment is made. If there is no compensation for the year in question, La Financière agricole will send you a contribution notice.
