Who is responsible for a farm business’s on-line file?

Every on-line file is under the responsibility of ONE person, who is designated as the “person in charge of access management”.

La Financière agricole has invited its clients (the owner or ONE business associate) to access their file and play the role of  “person in charge”.

  • If the owner or an associate enters the user code and password provided by La Financière agricole, he or she automatically becomes the person in charge of managing access to the business’s on-line file.
  • When the business owner or associate accesses the on-line file for the first time, he or she must confirm their identity by providing a social insurance number.

Is it possible to delegate the management of your on-line file to someone you trust?

Yes. The business owner or associate can give this responsibility to another person (for example: their spouse, a staff member, etc.).

To do that, he or she must:

  • Complete and sign the form Application to designate a person in charge of access management (This link will open a new windowFrench - This link will open a new windowEnglish translation) (also available at FADQ service centres);
  • Send back the form to your service centre (by fax, mail or in person).

Within a few days, FADQ will send a letter containing a user code and temporary password to the applicant. The code and password must then be given to the person in charge of managing access to the business’s on-line file.

Please note that the owner or associate of a farm business can also confer their on-line file to La Financière agricole. It can then manage access to the file, access that must first be authorized by the owner or associate of the business in question.

If this option interests you, please contact your service centre for information on the steps to follow.

Who can access the on-line file?

All those to whom the person in charge of access management has granted access rights.

The person in charge can:

  • Provide a user code and password to persons whose duties require access to the on-line file (for example: your spouse, your employees, an accountant, etc.);
  • Manage the access rights of those persons (consultation or transaction rights), according to the different sections of the on-line file;
  • Withdraw the access rights from those persons, if need be.

Forms related to the on-line file

Depending on the situation that arises, the owner or one of the associates of a farm business must complete and sign the requisite form and send it back to their service centre.

If the owner or the associates of a farm business cannot designate a person in charge of access management (no access to the Internet, no person apt to play that management role), but they would nevertheless like one or more persons to have access to their on-line file, La Financière agricole can offer support.

If this option interests you, please contact your service centre for information on the steps to follow. The following forms may then be required from you.
