Reduction for aspiring farmers

Any producer that qualifies his or her farm business for an establishment grant under the Financial Support Program for Aspiring Farmers, administered by La Financière agricole du Québec, could also allow the business to benefit from a 25% reduction on contributions to the Farm Income Stabilization Program (ASRA), up to $50,000 annually per insured product. The reduction applies for two consecutive insurance years.

Starting on the date on which the establishment grant is confirmed, the farm business has two years in which to apply to La Financière agricole for the contribution reduction.
