Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Support Program for Dairy Farmers

Registration

The registration process is carried out in collaboration with PLQ.

1. Initial reporting

  • Contact your veterinarian immediately if you see any suspicious clinical signs.
  • Inform your PLQ representative as soon as you suspect a case of HPAI or are notified that your site has been linked to one.

2. Obtaining official status

  • MAPAQ will assess your situation and issue an attestation of status (suspect, linked, or infected). This attestation is required to be eligible for the program.

3. Program registration

  • Complete the registration form with the PLQ’s designated third-party administrator.
  • For Tier 2, you must notify PLQ within 48 business hours, in accordance with the PLQ self-declaration process.

4. Claims

  • Keep all invoices and supporting documentation related to eligible expenses.
  • Complete the registration form within the required deadlines:
    • 30 days after testing negative for Tier 1
    • 30 days after regaining uninfected status for Tier 2.
