Eligible expenses: veterinary fees related to HPAI screening and support to heighten biosecurity measures.
Maximum amount: $3,500 for the duration of the program.
Conditions: These expenses cannot have already been reimbursed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) or MAPAQ.
Claim deadline: The claim form must be submitted to La Financière agricole (FADQ) within 30 days of receipt of negative test results by the PLQ’s designated third-party administrator.
Tier 2 – Control
Eligible expenses:
All eligible Tier 1 expenses not already reimbursed by CFIA or MAPAQ
Expenses related to implementing measures required by MAPAQ
50% of purchase cost of required machinery or equipment
A lump sum payment of $1.11 per day per lactating or dry cow for the duration of the quarantine
Financial advance: Up to $10,000 available upon registration without supporting documentation.
Claim deadline: The claim form must be submitted to FADQ within 30 days of the date the site regains uninfected statusStatus granted to a previously infected site that now meets the criteria set out by the Strategy in order to return to normal operations.Close according to the PLQ’s designated third-party administrator.
Terms and conditions
Maximum assistance: $50,000 per business for the duration of the program (both tiers combined).
Total budget: $1,000,000, including a maximum of $100,000 for program administration.
Priority: Assistance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. If multiple registration forms are received on the same day, priority will be based on the MAPAQ status confirmation date.
