Tier 1 – Screening and prevention
To be eligible, you must:
- operate a dairy production site deemed a suspect siteSite with an epidemiological connection to an infected site or that has cattle presenting clinical signs consistent with HPAI.Close or linked siteSite that has contributed milk to a tank truck whose contents have tested positive for HPAI.Close according to an official attestation from MAPAQ
- complete and submit the program registration form through the third-party administrator designated by Les Producteurs de lait du Québec (PLQ)
Tier 2 – Control
To be eligible, you must:
- operate a dairy production site identified as an HPAI-infected siteSite where a case of HPAI has been confirmed in accordance with the criteria established by the Stratégie québécoise de surveillance, de prévention et de contrôle, et de protection de la santé publique contre l’influenza aviaire hautement pathogène dans les bovins laitiers.Close, according to an official attestation from MAPAQ
- have notified PLQ within 48 business hours that the production site you operate or that is operated by a third party is infected (as per PLQ’s self-declaration procedure)
- implement the directives imposed by MAPAQ at the production site
- complete and submit the program registration form through the PLQ’s designated third-party administrator
Eligibility is conditional on compliance with current legislation, particularly with regard to animal welfare, health protection, and traceability.
